Meet Bruce
At the heart of WPDC Sweet 16 – 102.1 FM / 1600 AM is Bruce Collier, the station’s owner and guiding voice. Bruce has spent decades in the broadcast industry, bringing music and community together across central Pennsylvania.
Bruce’s journey in radio began with a love for the craft and a commitment to keeping local broadcasting alive. After studying at the Cleveland Institute of Electronics, he built a career in sales and programming at stations like WGET and WGTY before taking the reins at WPDC. In 2015, he became the sole proprietor of Sweet 16 WPDC, shaping it into Central PA’s only station dedicated to soft oldies—a format that resonates deeply with Baby Boomers and their families.
Under Bruce’s leadership, WPDC has remained true to its roots while embracing modern accessibility. He ensures the station delivers the timeless hits of the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, while also offering online streaming so listeners can tune in from anywhere. His vision is simple: keep the music authentic, keep the station local, and keep the listeners at the center of everything.
Bruce is more than just a station owner—he’s a community advocate. Based in York, PA, he has built strong ties with Elizabethtown and the surrounding Harrisburg, Lancaster, and York regions. His dedication ensures WPDC Sweet 16 continues to be a reliable companion for listeners, whether they’re driving through town or streaming from afar.
When you tune in to WPDC Sweet 16, you’re not just hearing great music—you’re experiencing Bruce’s lifelong passion for radio and his commitment to keeping the spirit of local broadcasting alive.
